"Healing through faith" is a state of being that you must strive for throughout your existence. The concept of it is to identify your wound, uncover it, provide the proper treatment, forgive, and move on.

Getting Started

The pain is there. At times, it feels as though nothing else matters. How do you move pass your pain to desire a more fulfilling life? The answer lies behind your faith. Do you have enough faith to believe that God has better things in store for you? Do you understand the magnitude of His love for you? If you have any inclining as to how much He loves you, you can embrace that love and push forward. Pushing forward is what helps to get you through the heartache. God's promise is to give you peace and joy. Your faith in God helps you get to the joy that He promises you.

Forgive Yourself

What does that mean?.... forgive yourself.... Sometimes you can harbor feelings of guilt surrounding your pain. The guilt you feel can block you from opening up completely to your true feelings. Guilt can also cause you to be defensive towards the healing process. The guilt can run so deep that it makes you feel responsible for your pain. Learning to forgive yourself means that you can accept yourself for who you are. It means going above and beyond to recognize that you have faults. It means accepting your personality (and faults) for all that it is--good, bad, and indifferent. It also means loving yourself for who you are and not what others want you to be. If there is something about you

Point of Infliction

What is your Point of Infliction? A Point of Infliction is that moment when the gut wrenching pain is felt. It's that moment when we feel the blunt force of the painful incident that will cause us many memories of heartache. That vantage point will be relived over and over in our mind until we are able to heal. Until we submit to our healing, the emotional feeling will hit us every time something reminds us of our hurtful memory. We can be spiraled right back to that moment as if it just happened. It never feels good to be reminded of how vulnerable we felt at the point of infliction. How can we make the pain go away? As part of the healing process, we must face our pain and not suppress it.
