My journey began with a self-examination in the shower….

I missed my annual check-up, and realized that I needed to reschedule my appointment. In the meantime, I thought it'd be a good idea to check.

​

I felt the lump. My first instinct was panic. Then I calmed myself when I realized that nothing was hurting, and I felt fine.

​

I allowed a little more time to pass by before making the appointment. 

​

During the examination, the doctor stated that it was not a fibroid, and a biopsy would have to be completed to see if it was cancerous.

The following day, I got the call…...
