Forgive Yourself
What does that mean?.... forgive yourself.... Sometimes you can harbor feelings of guilt surrounding your pain. The guilt you feel can block you from opening up completely to your true feelings. Guilt can also cause you to be defensive towards the healing process. The guilt can run so deep that it makes you feel responsible for your pain. Learning to forgive yourself means that you can accept yourself for who you are. It means going above and beyond to recognize that you have faults. It means accepting your personality (and faults) for all that it is--good, bad, and indifferent. It also means loving yourself for who you are and not what others want you to be. If there is something about you that you don't like, admit you don't like it. If it something that you need to change about yourself, recognize that. Once you can acknowledge your faults, you can seek God's help in changing. Always remember that you are beautifully and wonderfully made by a Creator that loves you just as you are. He knows and loves every part of you. He created you as an expression of Himself. Though all of your choices are not in agreement with what He's designed for you, He still loves you. Forgive yourself and accept God's forgiveness of you.
